My Top 5 Product Wishlist 2011

Hope everyone had a brilliant New Year's countdown - what did everyone get up to? I got a text from my boyfriend saying, "Night, sweet dreams!" at 12PM.. he seems to have forgotten the time difference :P

So for my first post of 2011, I decided to list the top 5 products I want in 2011 (cuz if I didn't set myself a number, I'd have a list as long as the Bible). I got this idea through Jo from BeautyliciousLove.com who did a post on products she wants to try this year :)

MAC Paint Pots (£13) - I've heard this makes an amazing eyeshadow base, but as I have 2 eyelid primers at the moment, the prospect of getting Soft Ochre with my Project 15 Pan going on is highly unlikely. So my first pick is Vintage Selection from the Cham-Pale collection :)

Urban Decay Naked Palette (£27) - I know I'm a bit slow to get on board with this, but I'd bought my Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette right before this came out, and started getting into MAC eyeshadows which made me feel that I would not need this palette. I think I was wrong.

MAC 15 Eyeshadow Palette (£11)- This is my second project of 2011: to start building my MAC palette and.. obvs can't do that without this baby! :) Atm, my plan is to have 12 neutral-ish eyeshadows, and 3 colours.

Jemma Kidd Make-Up Book (£12.38)- I love learning techniques, it's probably one of my favourite things to watch on YouTube. I think I've watched most technique videos from my favourite MUAs online, so this is just another way I can keep learning. I want to learn how to use the products I have, rather than keep buying stuff.

Sigma Make Me Blush Brush Set (about £75 with shipping)- You may already know that I've just started my brush collection, and yeah this may be a whim kind of thing, considering it's just come out two days ago, but a lot of the brushes I've been looking at from Sigma's website is in this set so.. there. Justified. The only thing holding me back is wondering whether in the long run it'd be better for me to invest in MAC ones.. hm. (Can't forget the free gift that comes with ever $30 purchase either! ;) )

I also endeavor to branch into other brands like Chanel, Dior or YSL, but because I haven't really researched, I couldn't tell you what exactly.. haha. And O.P.I as well, I bought my first one this year and loved it! I've decided that nail polishes will not be part of my P15P as I don't have an excessive amount, so hopefully another purchase on the way back from Japan in Duty Free! :)

So there you have it, my top 5 products I want to get during 2011. Have any of you guys tried these products, and do you think these should be on my list? What products are on your wishlist this year? :)

  4. @Jo - I've just read that the Naked Palette is going up by a fiver cuz of the VAT rise when it's back in stock.. painful times! But yeah, I'm well excited to start my MAC palette.. I have 5 eyeshadows, just no palette lol.

@missy_ellie_uk - Sadly (as I said to Jo) I heard it's going up by a fiver :( I'm sure a lot of people will stay it's still worth the money though! Do you think so?

@Sarah - I knowwwww haha which is your fave? Haha well one of my exceptions for the project is that I get to treat myself to 1 product a month, so I think my Paint Pot will be for January :)

  5. Hi! Im new to your blog but you definitely have a good list here! Paint pots are amazing but a thing to know is that if your getting one to cover any discoloration or veining, you can also conceal your eye area then use a base after instead. But I would definitely reccomend the paint pots if you have the money. Also the naked palette is amazing as well! You could also try the Too Faced Natural eye which is similar. I just got my order of sigma brushes since i have been using drugstore ones for a year but they are WELL WELL worth the money! loving your blog :)

  7. Great list! I want to get the naked palette too but it's so hard to get a hold of! I have a set of sigma face brushes and they are really good quality and I love them. However, I always feel like I'm missing out on the MAC brushes! Some of the MAC ones are just must-haves in my opinion.

  8. @Sparklista - Haha yeah the Sigma brushes are brilliant, I have 2 at the moment :) Thanks for your compliment! :)

@Tracy - I know a lot of people seem to be getting them.. I think it's cuz the other things look very sparkly and unwearable.. I quite like the pinker highlighting powder but it's not an essential for me :) Thanks!

@Vida - I know! I'm looking everywhere but it's sold out, but it usually isn't in my local Boots so hopefully I can get it there for my Feb treat or something haha. Yeah, I get what you mean by the brushes, some brushes I don't think needs to be the most amazing quality so I'd be good with Sigma, but something like the 239 which is my first MAC brush, I wouldn't want from anywhere else! :) Thanks for always commenting lovely! :)
