Also Avalon Organics Lavender serum is lovely too, bit more moisturising and a lot cheaper, about 10 quid. I've just tried the Elemis Freshskin one (in Superdrugs) and that seems ok although I've only tried it once. I love Avene/Vichy/La Roche Posay for soothing products. Ponds is really moisturising too. For toner I really love distilled witch hazel- boots or wilkinsons do one, its like £2 and it's meant to soothe sore skin, it's lovely, I've been through about 4 bottles! It's not so good for cleansing but for soothing it's good. Go for alcohol free though as I've found alcohol ones sting :/ I also agree Cetaphil cleanser is really good. I'll stop rambling now lol! xxxluxiehoneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07360779882395102385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-6386333443181156362012-08-06T10:39:51.206+01:002012-08-06T10:39:51.206+01:00It does doesn't it, you're completely righ...It does doesn't it, you're completely right! :D Thanks Nic Nic!Yuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12064765067265019268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-41709381942675107332012-08-05T13:18:32.749+01:002012-08-05T13:18:32.749+01:00haha that is totally me.. just breaking out though...haha that is totally me.. just breaking out though but i think it's the environment + stress + sleep deprivity! It goes mental without toner, and my Konjac sponge just isn't enough on its own.. but the Glycolic treatment is something I've been thinking about for a while, as many people have recommended it! I'm going to do some research! Thanks for your tip on the amount too, that's really good to know! Switch to a mild cleanser (Cetaphil or Philosophy Purity)don't use any toner - even moisturizing ones are just introducing more stuff to make your skin go crazy. Just use AHA/Glycolic treatment during the night (if an overnight one like Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel, and don't do like I did and pile it on; it worked so much better than me when I got to the end of the jar and was forced to use it sparingly and realized I'd made a pricey judgement call before)because this kind of treatment will help with both acne and flaky, dry skin. Then, probably all you'll need is your regular moisturizer in the day (and night over the AHA stuff if you're drier than me). Trust me, I'm a product lover, too, but the more is not the merrier with our skin!Sarah S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09874844925155187919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-91689583987231417432012-08-04T22:26:38.558+01:002012-08-04T22:26:38.558+01:00Have you ever used the Benefit Foaming Facial Wash...Have you ever used the Benefit Foaming Facial Wash? That's the only wash that's ever properly worked with my skin - I don't get dry or oily during the day and I have combination skin too. I also use Boots Organics Rosewater Toner and S&G Clear Here moisturiser as it's not too heavy for me and it fights spots too! I use the Body Shop Vitamin E facial spritzer during the day for a bit of moisture and to set my makeup.
My skin is better than it's been in years by using these products :) I really hope you face manages to sort itself out! It's horrible when our skin decides to have a hissy fit :( Have you changed any products recently that could have caused it? Could you be allergic to something you're not aware of? xmaliberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14451547399141223465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-11555075357325898312012-08-04T18:21:01.818+01:002012-08-04T18:21:01.818+01:00*leave ME with a few whiteheads*leave ME with a few whiteheadsEmily (Massachusetts Mask)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17112481424082457836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-43657527648064840902012-08-04T18:20:09.964+01:002012-08-04T18:20:09.964+01:00I used to have the driest skin in the world (until...I used to have the driest skin in the world (until it decided to switch to the OILIEST skin in the world) to the point where it would just peel off my face all the time, not cute! Over the past few years I've discovered Aquaphor was the only thing that would help it heal over night. I would slather it on the areas that would be the flakiest before bed like my nose, chin, around the corners of my eyes and when I woke up it would be moisturized heaven! You need to be careful not to use it too long though (from the time I go to bed until the morning is only about 6 hours) otherwise I find it can leave be with a few white heads. Also, Bio Oil is GREAT for your skin. I never put it on before bed just because I don't want my pillow to be an oily mess, but I wear it while I'm doing my night time routine (around 3 hours total). It locks in moisture and as a bonus helps with any discoloration you may have from acne. I think if you use that in conjunction with Aquaphor you can clear up your dry patches for good!

Let us know how things work out xxEmily (Massachusetts Mask)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17112481424082457836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-73982554333293871472012-08-04T17:13:02.744+01:002012-08-04T17:13:02.744+01:00Cetaphil moisturiser is one of best when your skin...Cetaphil moisturiser is one of best when your skin is really damage and sensitive to back balance to your skin.french_cookiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06114721178496855674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639764858099441182.post-80929260427466411602012-08-04T13:17:59.971+01:002012-08-04T13:17:59.971+01:00I totally understand what you mean, I have dry pat...I totally understand what you mean, I have dry patches on my oily forehead. Its so strange because the Origins and Body shop cleansers have been exactly what i have been using to help my skin and i love them so much. They are so good for rebalancing moisture and doesn't leave my skin all dry and horrible. They smell amazing too :) The toner i love at the minute is the Lancome Tonique Doceur because its so gentle and doesnt irritate mys skin hehe.
