A Small Clarins Haul..

Everything I've tried from Clarins thus far has been excellent, so it was no surprise when I couldn't resist these two babies..

Not that I've already gone on about this enough, but this is a gorgeous, gorgeous shade! A lovely warm pink, it has the subtlest shimmer which makes it an everyday blush alongside my other favourite, NARS Orgasm. The brush and mirror are both very useful too! While the shade is gorgeous I've yet to really observe the staying power/blendability - incredibly busy days and bad lighting don't help with make-up testing much!

Can you believe I've only swatched this?! I really wanted a face tanner as I decided that was the cheapest solution to my ever-changing skintone - if I tan my face, I can use the same shade and same tone for most of the year :) It was a no brainer when I went on Feel Unique, searched face tanners and I saw this for such an affordable £13.75 in the sale - right now it's £15.30. From the swatch, it felt almost like a silicone primer and the little patch of my hand tanned beautifully, just to let you know ;) Hahaha.

So that's 2 out of my 3 allowances of January, and would you believe it - I've used that up too? :P It wasn't Clarins so I thought I'd tell you guys about the third product some other time ;)

Have you tried either of these products?
What face tanner do you use?

I didn't want to like it so much but they've won me over by being just too good! Is there a peachy shade in the blush prodige? I would be ALL OVER that!

  10. Hum...I might consider using a tanner on my face as well. I have the same face/body mismatch issue.

    1. Isn't it so frustrating? I was going to get those skin-matching foundations but I just love the foundations I have now so much.

  11. You make me want to check out Clarins' makeup range! I've only ventured into their skincare products recently, having been rather loyal to Lancome and Clinique in the past.

Btw, I recently got a Shu eyelash curler and really love how it doesn't pinch my Asian eyes. However, since I've the typical uber straight hair which returns back to it's poker straightness within 5 mins if no heat is used, my eyelashes fail to maintain their curl as well.

I've tried using curling mascaras (eg. Clinique) and putting clear serum primer things on my lashes before mascara but the lashes still loses their prettiness quickly. Do you have the same problem?

    1. Hmm.. that's strange because I have similar lashes and my curls last all day! Try not to clamp too hard, and clamp from the roots and slowly up the lashes towards the ends.. hopefully that'll work! Putting serum and stuff may actually have adverse effects because it may weigh down the lashes.. have you tried L'Oreal's Telescopic Mascara? I've found it's a pretty good drugstore mascara that doesn't weigh down lashes :)
